Why is marble susceptible to contamination?

Natural marble is a kind of microporous material,

The surface is easy to inhale foreign stains and destroy its beauty.

In other words, natural marble is the same as natural wood,

It is a kind of "breathing" material.

Marble stains can be caused by these reasons:

01

Its microscopic structure is porous

Sometimes it’s not easy to observe from the appearance,

Easily absorb stains invaded by water or oil.
02

Although the polished marble is hard and beautiful,

But there are a lot of people in public places,

Due to the continuous sand brought in by the outside world

Its surface will inevitably wear out;

At the same time, there is a lack of awareness of the protection of marble,

Hard objects drag the ground when moving objects,

This resulted in partial scratches on the ground.
03

There is no correct maintenance concept:

In daily cleaning,

Use a mop with water to mop the ground,

Sewage will penetrate into the stone with the micropores of the marble,

Make the surface of the marble dirty,

What's more, as the water vapor evaporates,

Small holes are formed in the stone.
Or marble insolation, weathering, corrosion, wet and dry cycles

Causes such as the formation of tension damage, etc.,

Let the internal force of the stone be uneven,

And the formation of decomposition, bursting, peeling, spotting and other phenomena.

How to "decontaminate" marble?

1. Marble is easy to stain. When cleaning, you should use less water. Wipe it regularly with a slightly damp cloth with a mild detergent, and then dry and polish it with a clean soft cloth to restore its luster.

Or wipe it carefully with a liquid scrubbing agent. You can use lemon juice or vinegar to clean the stains, but the lemon should not stay on it for more than 2 minutes. Repeat the operation if necessary, then wash and dry. For cosmetics, tea and tobacco stains, apply hydrogen peroxide, leave it for two hours, then wash and dry. For oil stains, use ethanol (alcohol), acetone (wood spirit) or lighter oil to wipe, then wash and dry. If the marble furniture is scorched by the cigarette butt, you should consider asking someone to repair it.
2. For minor scratches, special marble polishing powder and care agent can be used. For antique or valuable marble furniture, please ask professionals to deal with it.

This maintenance method is called the stone recrystallization system. This system has two parts, one part refers to the machine tool part, and the other part refers to some special chemical materials; the chemical materials are also divided into two categories: one is the granite recrystallization system , The other is the marble recrystallization system.
