Grinding wheel is a commonly used tool during processing. However, when we use grinding wheel, we sometimes encounter grinding wheel breakage. So what causes it to break? How to solve it?

1. Cracks caused by grinding wheel cracks: When the grinding wheel hole is small or the shaft is large, it is hard to install

Solution: Grinding wheel holes and shafts should be smoothly installed, but not rigidly installed.

2. The linear speed of the grinding wheel is too large: when the rotational speed of the grinding wheel shaft is too high, a grinding wheel with a larger diameter than the one used in the past is used.

Solution: Change the shaft speed so that the linear speed of the grinding wheel is within the range of the linear speed used or use a grinding wheel with a small diameter

3. The tightening force of the nut is too large

Solution: If the tightening nut of the flange plate is tightened with too much force, the flange plate will be twisted, and the local force of the grinding wheel will be large, so it should be properly tightened.

4. When the imbalance of the grinding wheel is too large: the balance inspection of the grinding wheel manufacturer is not sufficient.

Solution: On the gimbal, recalibrate the balance

5. The grinding wheel contains water

Solution: The grinding surface is idling when the water injection is stopped.

6. The support of the flange is uneven

Solution: The left and right sides of the grinding wheel flange should be finished to the specified correct and smooth size, the plane part of the grinding wheel should be processed accurately, and the lead filling layer should not protrude flatly.

7. The linear speed of the grinding wheel is too large: when the rotational speed of the grinding wheel shaft is too high, when using a grinding wheel with a larger diameter than the previous grinding wheel.

Solution: Change the rotational speed of the grinding wheel shaft so that the linear speed of the grinding wheel is within the range of the linear speed used or use a grinding wheel with a small diameter.
