Diamond grinding wheels are mainly used for cutting hard and brittle materials, so they are indispensable processing equipment in the production and processing of stone and other materials. So how to choose a diamond grinding wheel?

Skill 1: The larger the particle size of the grinding wheel, the softer diamond grinding wheel is generally selected in order to avoid being blocked by grinding debris.

Skill 2: The hardness of the grinding wheel in coolant grinding is 1~2 grades higher than that in dry grinding.

Skill 3: Under the same grinding conditions, the hardness of the resin bonded grinding wheel is 1~2 grades higher than that of the vitrified bonded grinding wheel.

Skill 4: When the speed of the grinding wheel is high, the hardness can be selected from soft 1~2 grades.

Skill 5: Compared with circumferential grinding, softer grinding wheels should be used for end grinding.

Skill 6: A softer grinding wheel should be used for grinding workpieces with poor thermal conductivity.

Skill 7: The harder the workpiece, the softer the grinding wheel, and the softer the workpiece, the harder the grinding wheel.

Skill 8: The larger the contact surface between the grinding wheel and the workpiece, the softer the grinding wheel should be selected. On the contrary, the higher hardness grinding wheel should be selected.

Skill 9: Harder diamond grinding wheels should be used for fine grinding and profiling grinding to maintain the necessary shape accuracy of the grinding wheel.
