The segment plays a very important role in the cutting tool and is an indispensable part of the cutting saw blade. The following will introduce its manufacturing process.

The diamond segment is divided into two processes: cold pressing and hot pressing.

When the traditional method is to process diamond segments with grooves on both sides, it is divided into two steps, the first is segment cold pressing, and then the segment is hot-pressed.

Diamond segment cold pressing forming process:

It is to directly form the shape required by the cutter head on the cold-pressing die. The cold-pressing die includes five parts: the upper indenter, the lower indenter, the center plate, the front-end plate, and the rear-end plate. The arrangement of the parts is used to form the cutter head. For the required cavity, fix the periphery of the cold-pressed mold so that the cavity will not deform after being pressurized, and then add the required powder in the cavity and load it into the upper indenter.

And pressurize, stop the pressurization when the powder changes from loosening to the solid shape of the desired cutter head shape, separate the fixing device around the cold pressing mold, and separate the cold pressing mold, take out the cutter heads one by one, and arrange the regular knives manually. head, ready to use.

Diamond segment hot pressing forming process:

That is, the cold-pressed section is placed on the hot-pressing mold, and the hot-pressing mold includes five parts: the upper indenter, the lower indenter, the middle plate, the end plate, and the side plate. The parts are arranged in sequence to form a cavity , Put the cold-pressed forming section in the cavity, fix the periphery of the hot-pressing mold and put it into the sintering equipment, so that the diamond section is melted under warm pressure to form an alloy, and finally formed, finally cooled and decompressed, removed and tightened device, remove the segment.

In the production process of the segment, the selection of the cutter head carcass material and the hot pressing process are the more important links. Co-based and bronze-based alloys are widely selected as the carcass material, but they cannot be achieved in terms of production cost and application performance. A very good clone. Fe-Ni-Cu-W alloy is proposed as the material of the cutter head carcass through horizontal analysis. After trial and application, a more ideal clone of production cost and performance has been obtained.

The production process of diamond segments can be described as the sintering process of metal powder under a certain pressure, which is a powder metallurgy process: uniformly mixed metal powder is heated at a temperature (800-1000 ℃) and a certain pressure (180-250Kgf/cm2) ), through a series of physical and chemical impregnation, such as dispersion, fusion welding, compounding, and recrystallization between powder particles, to form a sintered body with a certain shape and mechanical properties, that is, a segment.
