1. Joint Hooking (Cutting):
Check the condition of the granite joints, and determine whether to use a joint-cutting blade with a thickness of 0.2mm or 0.3mm according to the width of the joints. When opening the joints, use a professional cutting machine (angle grinder) together with the joint-cutting blade to cut the joints, and remove dust and sand inside the joints.
2. Waterproofing:
Apply stone sealant to the grouting areas using a wool brush. Let it dry completely for about half an hour.
3. Glue Filling:
Use marble glue close to the main color of the stone, or use color paste (powder) to adjust the color of the marble glue to make it the same as or close to the color of the granite. Use a putty knife together with the prepared marble glue (glue: curing agent ratio is 10:1) to fill the joints. (When filling, make the marble glue slightly higher than the stone surface, which is beneficial to avoid height differences at the joints after grinding.)
4. Grinding:
Use stone renovation machine (add water to the water tank) together with granite horseshoe-shaped resin grinding blocks to grind from coarse to fine. The grinding sequence is: 50#, 200#, 400#, 500#, 800#, 1500#. During each grinding procedure, absorb the water cleanly at the same time. When grinding at 50#, 200#, 400#, 500# procedures, after grinding with the 200# block, it is necessary to check whether the scratches generated by the 50# block have been removed, and so on in the same way afterward.
5. White Polishing:
After polishing with a 1500-grit abrasive block, leave a small amount of moisture on the surface during the water absorption process (i.e., do not completely remove the moisture). Use a horseshoe-shaped white polishing process with the stone polishing machine. Polishing should be dry (i.e., no water needs to be added to the tank). Polish an area of ??1 to 2 square meters at a time.
6. Crystallization Treatment:
Use a crystallizer with a white polishing pad and granite crystallizing powder to grind until the surface is evenly dry and shiny. After drying overnight, use MS-6 granite crystallizing paste with a white polishing pad for further polishing. Grind 1 to 2 square meters at a time before moving on to the next area. Use 20 to 30 ml of granite crystallizing paste per square meter.
