Anyone who often uses diamond saw blades knows that the feed speed of diamond saw blades ensures its working efficiency to a large extent, so we must pay special attention to its feed speed when using diamond saw blades.

Feed speed of diamond saw blade: The feed speed refers to the feed speed of the stone being sawed. Its size affects the cutting speed, the force on the saw blade and the heat dissipation in the cutting area. Its value should be chosen according to the characteristics of the stone being sawn.

Generally speaking, when cutting softer stones, such as marble, the feed speed can be appropriately increased. If the feed speed is too low, it will be detrimental to the sawing rate. When sawing fine-grained and relatively uniform granite, the feed speed can be appropriately increased. If the feed speed is too low, the diamond saw blade will be easily ground flat.

However, when sawing granite with a coarse-grained structure and uneven hardness and softness, the feed speed should be reduced, otherwise it will cause vibration of the saw blade, cause diamond fragmentation, and reduce the sawing rate. The feed speed for sawing granite is generally selected within the range of 9m to 12m/min.
