Stone is one of the most common materials used in home decoration, so it's something many of us are familiar with. But how much do you really know about it? For instance, how should you deal with common issues like cracking?
Step 1: Damage Repair
First, fill the damaged surface of the stone with marble adhesive that closely matches the stone's color. Then, use a specialized stone seam cutting machine to re-cut the middle seam of the original stone installation, making the gap width uniform. Afterward, fill the seam with the marble adhesive in a color that closely matches the stone. (Note: If the middle seam has already been treated before, there’s no need to re-cut the seam.)
Step 2: Grind The Cutting Position
Use a stone refurbishing machine with a specialized edge grinding disc to carefully grind the edge, making it level and flush with the stone, resulting in a seamless surface.
Step 3: Polishing
Use a specialized polishing machine with stone wet grinding pads, ranging from 50 to 3000 grit, starting from coarse to fine, to polish the stone. This will leave the surface shiny and smooth, giving it a brand-new look.
Step 4: Crystallization
Apply stone crystallization powder and crystallization agent along with the stone refurbishing machine. Under the pressure of grinding and high temperature, the stone and crystallization powder undergo a physical and chemical reaction, forming a dense, hard protective crystallized layer. After crystallization, the stone’s color and shine will be enhanced, while also providing anti-slip, water-resistant, and oil-resistant properties.
