Diamond wire saws need to cut various relatively hard ores for a long time. If the operation is improper or the preliminary preparation and maintenance work is not done well, it is common for diamond wire saws to break.
There are two main types of broken ropes: one is that the two ends of the joint are broken, which is called joint broken rope; the other is that the middle section of the wire rope outside the joint is broken, which is called broken rope.
The following is an analysis of the reasons and solutions for the broken rope of diamond wire saws.
1. Limited by the life of the wire rope, the wire rope is prone to fatigue fracture under the premise of alternating load during use;
Solution: Reduce the use of variable load wire saws, and at the same time, understand the life of the wire rope and replace it in time.
2. Due to the manufacturer's reasons, the beads are not fixed firmly, and the beads rotate or move. After the beads rotate, the wire rope will wear out in a short time. The broken wire rope after movement is exposed and loses protection, which will also cause the wire rope to break prematurely;
Solution: Stabilize the injection molding quality and ensure that the beads do not rotate or move. The rope saw should be checked in time after each cutting. If the beads rotate occasionally, they should be hammered and broken.

3. Due to machine reasons, the rope saw is unstable and often shakes, which can easily lead to rope breakage in the middle and frequent joint breakage;
Solution: Choose high-precision machines, maintain them well during use, ensure machine performance, increase the stability of rope saw operation, and reduce shaking.
4. After the injection molding rope saw is used for a certain period of time, some cooling water and chips will be injected between the plastic and the wire rope. If it is parked for too long, the wire rope will rust and become brittle, and the wire rope will break prematurely in the middle;
Solution: Do not park the used rope saw for too long, such as more than half a year.
5. Customers unilaterally pursue cutting efficiency and force cutting, resulting in excessive arc of the rope saw and excessive tension, which in turn causes the wire rope to break;
Solution: Reduce the amount of cutting and adjust it to moderate.
6. If the joint is buckled too tightly, it will increase the damage to the wire rope and cause the wire rope to break prematurely at the joint.
Solution: Moderate compression to reduce damage to the wire rope.
